What happened on Palm Sunday?

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week and commemorates Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem. As He entered the city, crowds welcomed Him with palm branches and praise, recognizing Him as a king.

This event fulfilled prophecy and revealed Jesus as the promised Messiah. However, the same crowd that celebrated Him would later turn against Him, highlighting the changing nature of human response.

Palm Sunday represents both celebration and coming sacrifice. It shows that Jesus willingly entered into the events that would lead to the cross.

For believers, it is a reminder of humility and surrender. Jesus came not as a conquering king in power but as a servant who would give His life for others.
